Baseball Schedule Summary
Baseball in Oklahoma is a spring sport. The regular season generally runs for 9 weeks, beginning the first week of March. The generic schedule of events in baseball appears as follows:
Mid-January: OKCMOA baseball meetings begin
Late January: OSSAA sends out baseball packets
Mid-February: OSSAA permits schools to begin intersquad scrimmages
Beginning of March: Season officially begins
End of April: District Tournaments
Beginning of May: Regional Tournaments
Early-to-Mid-May: State Tournaments
After the regular season and playoff tournaments, there is usually a brief lull before summer baseball begins. Summer baseball generally runs 6-7 weeks, from late May through early July.
